Katie and Drew met in their freshman year of high school in second-period Spanish class. Drew spent the entirety of the class studying for his driving permit test while Katie secretly made fun of him. Katie's first impression of Drew was that he was a typical jock and jokester. Drew's first impression of Katie was that she was "quiet" and reserved. Oh, how they were wrong.

Although in a small school and class, Katie & Drew's paths rarely crossed until Sophomore year when their friends began to intermingle. Before anything else, Katie and Drew became good friends who laughed together and joked around. Spring of Sophomore year Katie was dared to Snapchat the boy she thought was the cutest out of the grade. From there Katie & Drew began talking every day, hanging out, and spending as much time together as possible. Katie's sweet sixteen quickly approached where Drew made his grand entrance after the JV Baseball tournament wearing his metal. Katie was smitten and Drew was “playing it cool”. Each day they spent more and more time together yet somebody hadn’t asked a very important question. On April 29th, 2016 Drew took Katie to a small walking path just down the road from her house. He parked the car and asked her to be his girlfriend. Katie of course said yes.

Drew decided to continue his education at Kansas City University, where he graduated with a Master's degree in Biomedical Science. On the other hand, Katie started her new position at Clothe Boutique as the Marketing Coordinator and Store Manager. During this time, Katie and Drew spent most of their weekends traveling between Springfield and KC to spend time with each other.
